West Michigan Co-op is run entirely by volunteers. There are no paid employees.

Board of Directors
The Board of Directors manages the operations, finances, policies, and direction of the Co-op. The Board meets monthly.

The board oversees the following four committees:

Producer Relations
The producer relations committee oversees the intake, evaluation, and oversight of Co- op producers. Responsibilities include reviewing new producer application forms, performing farm tours, evaluating products and licenses, and implementing producer standards.

Member Relations
The member relations committee serves as a liaison to Co-op members and volunteers. Responsibilities include volunteer recruitment, coordination, and management; membership communication; maintaining a membership user guide; and coordinating volunteer appreciation and member events.

Community Relations
The community relations committee promotes the Co-op to all external audiences including potential members, relevant community organizations, and the media. Responsibilities include media relations, advertising, social media, special events, and general marketing.

Website
The website committee oversees and maintains the Co-op website, ensures that the information presented is current, assists users with technical problems, and serves as liaison to the web developer.
